First Settings

During the Onboarding you have set up your company's information, your regional settings, as well as your locations and time clocks. Time to prepare for your timekeeping.

1. Select a Pay Period

You can use the Timekeeping and the Time Clocks almost instantly. For the data to be processed properly in the Reporting, you need to select a pay period. You can set this information in the General Information or by clicking on the Reporting for the first time.

2. Add Schedules

Schedules define your employee's working hours: do they work a specific amount of hours per week, or are they expected to work within specific time frames? You can set this up on the Schedules page.

3. Add Employees

When you create a TimeMoto Cloud account, you create also the first employee: yourself! We assume that you have other employees and colleagues you want to include, so let's add your first employee. You can learn more about adding and managing employees in article about the Employees page.

4. Manage Break Deduction

To make sure that all clocking actions will work exactly how you expect, make sure to check out the Break Deduction settings in Breaks and Absences.

More Settings

With these settings you can already start a proper timekeeping. For more features you can check out these settings.

Add Pay Templates

Pay Classes determine how much employees are paid for the time they work. This payment can also vary under certain conditions. This is used in the overtime management, for example. In TimeMoto you need to add pay classes for your employees to be able to generate a proper pay report. You can learn more about adding and managing pay classes here.

Add Vacation Profiles

The total amount of vacation can vary from employee to employee. For that reason you can add vacation profiles that set a fixed amount of vacation that will be reset once a year. Check out this article to find out more about adding and managing vacation profiles.

Add More Locations

By default the location that you have set in the Company Information is your main location. If you have more locations than that you can add more in your location settings. Keep in mind that employees can only be synchronized to locations that are added to their account settings.
