In order to make sure that your Cloud operates as intended, you have to make sure that your basic settings are correct. You can manage your basic company and regional settings as well as various default settings on the General Information page.

Find the General Information page by opening the dropdown menu in the top right and clicking [Settings]. Then, on the left side, select [General Information].

Company Information

You can make adjustments to your company information anytime you want. Changes to your company information have no impact on any functionality of TimeMoto Cloud.

Usually you have set your company information during the onboarding already. To find out more about the onboarding, read the following article.

Regional Information

Settings under "Regional information" impact how things are shown in TimeMoto Cloud.

  • Language determines in which language your TimeMoto Cloud is shown. (1)
  • Time Zone determines the general timezone used for your TimeMoto Cloud. (2)
  • Date Format sets the format in which dates are shown in various reports. (3)
  • Set the First Day of the Week to determine on which day a new week starts. This is especially important for your reporting. (4)
  • You can also select if you want to see time in a 24-hour format, or in a 12-hour (AM/PM) format. (5)
  • Currency sets the default currency displayed in any sort of reports. (6)

Default Rounding

This rounding adjusts an employee's clocking time at fixed intervals by default if no schedule has been specified. Find here more details about (interval) rounding in TimeMoto Cloud.

Pay Period

Next, you can set your regular pay period. This will define the standard length and start date of your reports. You can choose between:

  • Weekly: A weekly pay period results in 52 payments in a year.
  • Bi-weekly (every other week): A bi-weekly pay period results in 26 payments in a year. In some years, a bi-weekly payroll system might result in an additional pay period.
  • Four-weekly (every four weeks): A four-weekly pay period results in 13 payments in a year.
  • Semi-monthly (twice a month): A semi-monthly pay period results in 24 payments in a year.
  • Monthly: A monthly pay period results in 12 payments in a year.

Geofencing

Locations are also relevant for mobile clocking. If the geofencing feature is activated, employees are unable to clock outside of a predetermined radius of a location, and employees who clock within the range will register their attendance at the determined location, even if they use the TimeMoto app.

Creating Locations

Geofencing limits the radius in which employees can clock at a specific location. However, you can also allow employees to create locations. If employees are authorized to do that, they can clock via the TimeMoto app at a random GPS position, which will then create a new location at that place and add it to your Cloud.

Creating locations can be globally (dis)allowed, but you can also authorize the employees individually in the Employee Card. That way, you can let some employees be affected by limitations, while others may clock wherever they are at the time.
