Employee Starter Guide

Welcome to TimeMoto Cloud! This article is written specifically for regular employees that use TimeMoto Cloud for the first time. Are you getting familiar with our software? At first, it may be slightly overwhelming to see the entirety of TimeMoto's features, but it is very straightforward. For a first overview, see this article.

Here you learn how to start with your own TimeMoto account in a few simple steps:

Your Account & Password

First, you need an account as a regular employee. Different privileges give you different kinds of access to the Cloud's data. In most cases, a regular employee will receive the privilege User. But no matter which privilege will be assigned, every employee needs a valid email address to be able to log into their own TimeMoto account.

Once the admin has added an employee with an email login to TimeMoto Cloud, the system will send a confirmation to the email address, where the employee can then set their password. A valid login will not only give them access to the browser application but also to the TimeMoto smartphone app, available on Apple's App Store or Google Play.

You can always change your password in your Account Settings.

Good to know: Alternatively you can also request a new password on TimeMoto's login screen.

How to Use the Timer in the Browser

If you have permission, you can clock your working time in-app via the TimeMoto Cloud Timer. The controls are straightforward.

On the top, you see the current time and day (1). On the left, you can check how much time has passed since the last Clock in Action (2). If available, you can also clock in under different projects (3). On the right, you find the buttons to carry out your clocking actions (4). Below you find the progress bar (5) and a quick summary of your scheduled shift (6).

How to Request an Absence

TimeMoto Cloud is very convenient when it comes to registering your attendance, but not only for that. You can also use it to request and plan your absences, such as vacation or sick leave.

To request an absence, go to your Account Manager and choose the tab [Absences].

You can request absences in your account settings

In the following window, you can select the type of absence you want to request and the start and end (if it's full days, the date) of the absence. Then, choose a recipient among the Managers or Unit Supervisors of your company. Optionally, you can add a brief description, like a message for your superior, for example. Once you click "Request absence," your request will be sent to the Pending Requests of the recipient, where they can accept or decline it.

Requesting an absence

Before you send: Please note that absence request work like emails. Once sent out, they cannot be pulled back or changed. The only way is to send a new request and to ask the recipient to delete/reject the old one.
