Location, location, location! When it comes to real estate, as well as in your TimeMoto Cloud, locations can play a vital role. If your workforce operates in different places, you can use locations to decide where your employees can clock their time. Locations can also determine at which location Unit Supervisors have access to the employee's data.

You find all your locations by clicking on the dropdown menu, selecting settings, and choosing [Locations].

Getting to the location settings

Overview

On the Locations page, you see a list of all the locations you have added. You see their name, address, and zip code. If you want to search for a specific location, use the search filter in the top left to do so.

Adding New Locations

If you want to add a location, click "Add location" on the screen's top right. 

A window appears where you can now enter the necessary information for a new location. 

  • Enter a name for the location.
  • Enter the location's address.
  • Select in which country the location is.
  • Select the time zone in which the location lies.
  • Optionally, you can enter a short description.
  • You can select the location's regional holidays.
  • Allow mobile clocking if you want to permit clocking via the TimeMoto app at this location.
  • If mobile clocking is allowed, you can set a range in which employees can carry out clocking actions via the TimeMoto app at this location. We recommend a range limit of 25 meters / 27 yards or higher to compensate for your GPS signal's inaccuracies.
  • Set an employee limit if you would like to limit the number of employees that can be present at your location at the same time. If this number is exceeded, you'll receive a notification. But no worries! All hours are still recorded correctly.

Adding a location

Click "Save" to add the new location.

Managing Locations

On the Locations page, click on any location entry to edit it. Then click "Save" to save your changes.

Deleting Locations

If you no longer need a specific location, you can delete it by clicking the trash bin icon.

Assigning Locations

You can assign locations to your employees. Usually, you do this when adding an employee to your TimeMoto Cloud. Employees without assigned locations will be synchronized with every time clock connected to your TimeMoto Cloud account. With one or more assigned locations, your employee will only be synchronized to the time clock(s) in the set location(s).
