How can I set up my TimeMoto Clock for the Cloud?

If you purchase a new TimeMoto Clock, connecting your device with your Cloud happens automatically during the setup process. But what if you already had your clock in use? In this article, we go through the settings step by step to help you connect your device and Cloud with ease.
Step 1: Managing Your Device Settings
First, we have to ensure that your TimeMoto Clock is trying to connect to the right address. This information has to be entered into your device's menu. Just like when you use GPS navigation to get to the right address, your device will need the correct information to send data to the right address.
Important: Before you proceed further, please check what kind of device you want to connect to your Cloud.
Connecting a TM-xxx Clocking Device
Open the [Menu], and select [System settings] > [Communication] > [ADMS]. Enter the following settings:
- Enable Domain Name: active
- Server address: cloud.timemoto.com
- HTTPS: Active
- Enable Proxy Server: Inactive
Step 2: Managing Your Cloud Settings
In the next step, we need to enter the device information into your Cloud settings. This is to make sure that your Cloud draws data from the right device. Keep in mind that this needs to be done by a manager!
Log into your Cloud account. You find the Time Clocks settings by opening the dropdown menu in the top right and clicking [Settings]. Then on the left side, select [Time Clocks].
You now see your "Time Clocks" page. If you want to add a new time clock, click "Add time clock" in the top right of the screen.
A window appears where you can now enter all of your device's information.
- Enter the Serial Number. You find the serial number on the back of the TimeMoto Clock or the original packaging. (1)
- Give your time clock a Name. This name should help you identify the exact device. (2)
- Assign a Location to the TimeMoto Clock. Only employees assigned to the same location will be able to clock on that device. You can only assign one location to a time clock (but multiple clocks to one location). (3)
- Select the Clocking Sequence. The clocking sequence automatically suggests clocking actions on the time clock in a predefined order. For example, if an employee has already clocked in, the device will suggest that their next clocking action will clock them out. (4)
Click "Save" to add the new TimeMoto Clock to TimeMoto Cloud.
Done! If you have entered the information on both sides correctly, your Time Clock will now be connected with your Cloud. You can tell this by checking the "Time Clocks" settings in your Cloud. If your device is marked with a green circle, a connection has been established.
