Employee Privileges

You can grant employees access to different information in TimeMoto Cloud. For this, you can use privileges and view limits. After having read this article, you will know how to use them to correctly configure your employee settings.

Privileges

In TimeMoto Cloud, three different privileges are used. Each of them grants employees different access to your Cloud's data.

You can assign an employee one privilege, and you can change the privilege whenever you want. For that go to the employee's information and go to the section "Internal".

Users

The majority of your employees will be Users. Users can by default only access their own data. They are also not able to change any data.

Viewing Limits

You can define the viewing limits of Users, however. When you select the User privilege in the user settings, you can define the viewing limits. Viewing limits determine what data the User can access:

  • Fully restricted limits a User to only seeing their own data.
  • All employees allows a User to view attendance data of all other employees. However, they cannot change data or access personal information!
  • Assigned locations allows a User to view attendance data from employees assigned to the same location as them.
  • Assigned departments allows a User to to view attendance data from employees assigned to the same departments as them.

Unit Supervisors

Unit Supervisors are, as the name implies, able to supervise their assigned units, such as locations or departments. When you select the Unit Supervisor privilege for an employee, you also decide which departments and locations they manage.

Unit Supervisors can be assigned to multiple departments and locations.

Managers

Managers have total access to TimeMoto Cloud. A Manager can access and edit all data. The Manager privilege is intended for administrators of the Cloud.
