Clocking Actions Explained
- Last updated on September 13, 2024 at 11:04 AM
TimeMoto Cloud works with different Clocking Actions to track the working hours of every employee. You can clock at the TimeMoto devices and in the browser/smartphone app of TimeMoto Cloud.
There are four main Clocking Actions and two of them are mandatory:
Clock In
This mandatory action triggers the recording of the working hours. Every workday starts with a Clock In action.
Clock Out
This mandatory action stops the recording of the working hours. Every workday ends with a Clock Out action.
Break
This action temporarily stops the recording of working hours and starts the break time. It is only necessary if the employee's breaks aren't deducted automatically from the working hours, whether or not this paid time depends on the settings in the employee's schedule or the Breaks and Absences settings.
Return
This action ends a clocked break and resumes recording the working hours. Like the Break action, it is only relevant if the employee's breaks aren't deducted automatically from the working hours.
Good to know: If a wrong Clocking Action was made mistakenly, please contact a supervisor or manager to correct it.
Clocking sequence
You can also set a fixed clocking sequence in the TimeMoto devices to avoid unnecessary errors. Doing that gives the user clocking actions in a specific order without selecting them.
See this article for more information about clocking sequences and how to set them up correctly in TimeMoto Cloud.
