This article explains the TimeMoto Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty, what it covers, and how to request help if you experience a problem with your time clock.
Which time clocks are covered
Included are all models of the TM-400 series, the TM-600 series, and the TM-800 series time clocks. These models include:
- TM-414, TM-424
- TM-616, TM-626
- TM-818, TM-828, TM-838 (incl. the equivalent SC and MC models)
| ⚠️ Important: Any time clocks of the TA-8000 series are not included in the TimeMoto Limited Lifetime Warranty. The same goes for any device models not mentioned above. |
The warranty applies to the original business purchaser of an eligible time clock purchased from an authorised TimeMoto seller or reseller. Your business must continue to own the time clock and maintain an active, paid TimeMoto Cloud subscription.
You may need to provide proof of purchase, such as an invoice or order confirmation. You do not need to register your time clock if other reasonable proof of purchase is available.
What does "Limited Lifetime" mean?
"Lifetime" refers to the period during which you remain eligible for the warranty. It does not mean that your time clock is guaranteed to work for a particular number of years or never develop a defect. Your warranty remains available while your business owns the time clock and maintains an active, paid TimeMoto subscription.
If your subscription is cancelled or expires, your eligibility ends, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If you later reactivate your subscription, eligibility may resume, depending on the applicable TimeMoto terms and whether your time clock remains eligible.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur when you use your time clock normally and for its intended purpose.
What is not covered?
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, or cosmetic damage that does not affect how your time clock works.
- Consumable or replaceable items, unless the defect results from a materials or workmanship issue.
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect, unauthorised use, or improper installation, maintenance or operation.
- Damage caused by unsuitable environmental conditions, liquids, power surges, electrical issues or other external causes.
- Time clocks with unauthorised modifications or removed, altered or illegible serial numbers.
- Problems caused by products, services, software or components not supplied or authorised by TimeMoto B.V., or by use outside the time clock’s intended purpose or published specifications.
How do I request warranty support?
If you experience a problem with your time clock, contact TimeMoto Support to request warranty service. Did you not purchase your clock from us directly? In that case, the following procedures apply:
- Purchased through a reseller? Contact your reseller during the first two years. After that, you can contact TimeMoto directly about coverage under the Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty.
- Purchased through Amazon? Contact TimeMoto directly, including during the first two years.
To help assess your claim, we may ask you for:
- Your time clock’s model and serial number.
- Proof of purchase.
- A description of the problem and any troubleshooting you have already completed.
- Photos, videos or other information needed to assess the issue.
We may also guide you through troubleshooting before approving your claim.
What happens if my claim is approved?
If your time clock has a covered defect, TimeMoto will decide whether to repair or replace it. A replacement may be a new or refurbished time clock of the same or an equivalent model. It will be covered for the remainder of the applicable warranty period.
We will explain the next steps and provide return instructions. You do not need the original packaging, but you must package your time clock appropriately to protect it during shipping.

💡 What happens if I use TimeMoto Cloud 1? The replacement model depends on availability and compatibility. 400 series time clocks only connect to TimeMoto Cloud 2, not TimeMoto Cloud 1. If no suitable 600 or 800 series replacement is available, you will need to migrate to TimeMoto Cloud 2 to use a 400 series replacement. |
Does this affect my statutory rights?
No. The Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty provides additional benefits. It does not limit or replace any statutory rights or remedies that apply in the country where you purchased your time clock.
