The serial number of my TM Clock is already in use. What can I do?

While adding your TM device to your account, the serial number you try to add to the system may already be in use. This can happen especially with second-hand devices or if you have already used your clock with another account.
In this article, you can check what you can do in such a case and how to rule out any errors.
Step 1: Check the serial number
First, you can check if you have entered the correct serial number. The complete serial number of your TM Clock can be found on the back of the device under the barcode or in the menu under [System Info] > [Device Info].
Step 2: Check other accounts
Perhaps you had already linked your machine to another account? If you still have access to that account, you can remove your device from the other account and try again.
Step 3: No access to another account
If all these steps have not helped, your device is probably linked to an account to which you do not have access (anymore). In this case, you are welcome to contact our technical support via the Contact Form.
