Deleting Data From Your TimeMoto Clock

There are various ways to delete specific data or even all data from your TimeMoto Clock. In this article, we outline the most important options.

Deleting Attendance Data

The time clock systems are limited in the amount of attendance data they can save. It is thus advised to regularly remove attendance data from the time clock. Before removing this data, please make sure that the attendance data has already been synchronized to your TimeMoto Cloud. Deleting attendance data will only delete it on the time clock system and not in the Cloud.

To delete attendance data, press [Menu] on your system. If you have a Supervisor on your system, you will see “Identify” on the system’s screen. You will then have to identify yourself as a Supervisor to open the system. You can find more information on this in this article.

Once in the menu, use the arrow buttons to select [Data Management] and press [OK]. Select [Delete data]. Then, select [Delete Attendance Data]. In the next screen, you can choose [Delete All] or [Delete by Time Range].

If you select [Delete All], all attendance data on the system will be deleted once you confirm this. We do suggest only using this option if you are completely sure that you do not require any attendance data left on the system.

If you select [Delete by Time Range], you can set the time range during which you want to delete attendance data. You will first set a Start Time, followed by an End Time, to define over which period you want to delete attendance data. Once confirmed, this will remove all attendance within this time range from the system.

For example, you set the Start Time to 2017-01-01 and the End Time to 2017-12-31. Once you confirm these dates, all attendance data from 1 January 2017 until and including 31 December 2017 will be removed from the system.

Deleting All Data

Sometimes, you will want to delete all data saved on the time clock system. Removing all data saved on the system can be done through the system’s menu.

When removing all data, only data saved on the time clock system will be deleted. This includes the following data:

  • Employees
  • Attendance data
  • Project codes

Press [Menu] on your time clock. If you have a Supervisor on your system, you will see “Identify” on the system’s screen. You will then have to identify yourself as a Supervisor to open the system. You can find more information on this in this article.

In the menu, use the arrow buttons to select [Data Management] and press [OK]. Select [Delete Data] and press [OK] again. Navigate to [Delete All Data] and press [OK]. A notification will appear. To confirm the deletion, use the arrow keys to select “OK” (this will colour it green). Then, press [OK].

All data is now removed from the TimeMoto Clock.
