Clocking Sequences

A Clocking Sequence is a series of individual Clocking Actions.
For TimeMoto Cloud to register worked time properly a correct Clocking Sequence is key. This article gives you an understanding of the main aspects of right clocking:
[Clock In] > [Clock Out]
This is the fundament of a Clocking Sequence. It always has to begin with a "Clock In" action and end with a "Clock Out" action.
Good to know: Work days with automatically deducted breaks follow this Clocking Sequence, as well as work days without any breaks.
[Clock In] > [Break] > [Return] > [Clock Out]
This is an advanced sequence with a break included. See how the "Break" Action has to be followed by a "Return" Action.
Workdays with no automatically deducted break(s) follow this pattern. With every additional break the [Break] > [Return] sequence repeats.
Setting a Fixed Clocking Sequence
To avoid unnecessary errors, you have to set a fixed clocking sequence in the TimeMoto Clocks. This automatically gives the employee a certain clocking action in a specific order.
You can set this easily in your TimeMoto Cloud. Go to the time clock settings by clicking on the cogwheel in the upper right and selecting "Time Clocks":
In your "Time Clocks" settings you can either add a new time clock or manage a already added clock to set its Clocking sequence:
A window will appear where you can either add a new time clock or manage an already added one. Set a clocking sequence in the bottom right box (4):
Click on the "Save" button to save the settings. The sequence will be set in the TimeMoto Clock while it is connected to your TimeMoto Cloud.
